@wayne always thought you were one of the decent posters here.tsk tsk
Its a shame you cant fathom how Rene has got fulham playing so well n picking points you have to look for a negative excuse that villa were poor!?
The same villa that beat newcastle 3 nil .same newcastle who outplayed us at OT.couldnt it be that rene had his tactics right and villa had no answers??
@ctred spot on mate.
Lets see what excuses moyes will come up with if he fails to beat a villa team that has just been brushed aside by a manager only two weeks into the job.

What a tactician our ex-first team coach Rene is! Martin Jol is a good guy, really felt sorry for him when he lost the job. But I think Rene will save them from relegation, no doubt about that. He knows what he is doing.

@ Tommy - damn!

Well here's hoping we buy someone who is not Baines. We do need cover for Evra but I really can't see why Fabio is not given a chance.

people mentioning the Fulham win are only doing so to take a indirect swipe at Moyes,i watched the game,Villa was giving Fulham all the time in the world and it's just quite ridiculous to take one win and say 'look what Rene' can do.Why can't people let it go Sir Alex didn't think he was up to the job, nothing more to say
Nefa.......... it's his whole body of work go and find me one positive thing Matt has said since he started posting,he also started insulting my dad who was a World War 2 vet and is now dead, think i'm going to let that rest fuck you,i'm going to be on that troll's ass for his Rom existence
Anyone who doesn't use his old user name then goes after Utd fans is a fucking coward because we all know you're a Muppet with a different name,so do one

The thing that pisses me off more I think of it is the lack of fight from the lads when we go a goal down. This is why we need Rio and Giggs on the pitch. They would be giving directions and screaming their heads off. Jones and Cleverly just went to pieces and were afraid of the ball, we need our senior players to stop this rot on the pitch and start screaming and being onfield generals. We can't just collapse like fools when the opposition scores at home!

Alright lads, off for the evening! No doubt will catch some of you fellow night owls later.

Here's hoping for a win and the lads tearing into each other in the dressing room and getting some balls to fight back. No matter what the manager does the players must fight!

@ Sir Matt - maybe you can apologise about saying things about @ waynes family and we can move on? I appreciate sometimes its easy to react, I have and probably still will as I have had some vile abuse on here, and wayne and I have not been the best of friends at all, but we just need to try to keep some boundaries so perhaps try to keep points to footie?

God bless u mate, i write in other bloggs, nobody is hateing on moyes is oredy our manager so we shuld support him, but the lack of fighting spirity he brought with him from everton is now telling on the club. in my last post i sited just Too many changes Moyes has pointed to United being in a period of transition following Ferguson’s retirement, but has he contributed to the uncertainty by making so many changes behind the scenes in the summer? Ferguson had attempted to prepare the club for his departure by installing coaches who could remain in place to ensure a smooth transition, but Mike Phelan, Rene Meulensteen and Eric Steele were all moved on and replaced by Moyes’s Everton staff. None of Jimmy Lumsden, Steve Round, Chris Woods or Phil Neville has coached at Champions League level and neither had Moyes, so he replaced Ferguson’s brains trust with a staff of men unproven at the highest level. As a result, many United players have more experience than the coaches charged with improving and inspiringthem. what i have come to observ in this blogg is the way and manner you get abuse from some poasters, as if is a crime to have ur own opinions. in other bloggs with lot of follows u dont get such abuse from posters.. instead u get a dibate.. people like Dan young, XYZ and wayne bakass dont go far in life if they continue to abuse fellow poasters. the mind boggles.

CTRED December 8, 2013
@wayne Two weeks into the job and after the first full week of preparation Rene had Fulham playing top quality. That is not a swipe at Moyes....just a simple observation.

I'll judge Moyes (and Rene and anyone for that matter) on the weight of evidence over time. One victory or one defeat doesn't make a manager. Moyes had the 4-1 over Swansea so I wouldn't get to far ahead of it on Rene after one game against Villa either. My point is (was), next week we will get a nice piece of evidence to add to that pile - how will Moyes set up the team and how will they play against Villa, and that can be contrasted to how Rene set Fulham up today. We can then add that to the evidence pile Moyes is building for himself.

CTRED just didn't think Villa looked interested mate and the big difference Moyes faces compared to any other team Utd is everyone's cup final are are always up for it.RVP mentioned that last year the intensity level and every game is a big game at Utd.Villa coming off a good mid week win took the day off the way i saw it.

lets be fair guys moyes is not the guy to manage united. regardless of the excuses that he needs time to settle in. he has turned a premier league championship side into a mid table side. We will only get into champions league next season if we win it!!! Moyes will be sacked if we don't as that's a 50 mil potential loss in revenue pus the 28mil on the afro amounts to an 80 mil loss in one season. No business can afford that

@sir matt martin...I think your posts are good interms of your opinion, when I look at it from your perspective. However, my suggestion to you is not to repost same post when it is already very lengthy. Anyway, it is upto you mate!, just my thought. Re other stuffs, I think it is better for me not to get involved and i myself like to concentrate on football and issues related to the club tbh...and imho you too need to do so and only argue "like for like" level and never touch family. In the end, it is upto you mate.

@NBI

Rvp did one other thing on the pitch, and that was to send a pass from Evra's position to release Hernandez clear and have a shot. Goes to show how frustrated he was at our midfielders' inability to do their job that he had to come back so far.

If we are not going to play Ando, I'm all for Jones+Cleverley+Giggs in the middle, at least Giggs can do the link up, which is non existent when its only Jones and Cleverley

Another long standing problem is our wingers, next to no output from them, hence the lack of contribution from the middle is made even more glaring

Moyes
1) what is your preferred set up? 4-4-1-1? 4-2-3-1 ? So we know your plan. How your buys fit into your ideas.

i think the only way forward is to start playing 3 in the middle, with jones we have a runner, cleverley can recycle possession well, and kagawa to link up play. Moyes should try play three at the back since he seems to not like rafael for some reason. so he should play 3 centre backs with evra and rafael/valencia as wingbacks and rooney and rvp upfront in a 3-5-2 formation with the back 3 being smalling as right centreback,vidic/rio as the central centreback and Evans as the left centre back.so that we have numbers when attacking and defending too.
Alternatively Moyes can play 433 with only one striker being the one in form

Moyes was never the man for the job. Sir Alex Ferguson knew it was impossible to replace him and that will be an awful lot of pressure for this man. Moyes is just here to clear the way to our next manager. He is a scapegoat needed after the traumatism of a immense loss : after all for more then 2 decades Fergie was United ans a very succefull one. It will be easier for the next manager. I pitty Moyes, he is a nice guy.

Rafa has been injured nothing to do with Moyes not liking him.Really don't think playing 3 CB is a good idea overlapping fullbacks are very important and don't see Smalling or Evans being good in that department.Plying Rio or Vidic as centre CB we'd get killed for speed.

United have never played 3 at the back, defenders not used to it so wont happen!

Ok...so just finished watching the Everton-Arsenal game. Prior to the game, it was announced that Everton had their best start to a season since 1977 (or so). Everton had more possesion, matched Arsenal's shots on goals tally with more shots taken. Everton has one of the lowest long ball games this season vs. the historical seasons. They have improved with a new manager who relegated his last team despite winning the FA cup.

@wayne...just a conspiracy theory. Good to have fun in this dark days.
Anyway, I think that to replace Sir Alex straight away after his departure would be an impossible task for almost everyone. Let be honest, our structure where the manager is the heart of the club makes it very hard to anyone coming after 20 years of success.

Redfrog i agree that's the reason i've issues with the fans picking on Moyes and it's been this way since day one.Like i mentioned on the last thread winning the league by 11 pts was an aberration Utd got 25pts from losing positions,RVP was on fire and Carrick wasn't injured and despite Utd's record a lot of our losses this season could've very well been wins.
With all the ABU's and opposing fans ready to stick the knife in the least Moyes should've got was support from the fans because most of us know there was issues with the squad and it's impossible to follow in Sir Alex's footsteps. Unfortunately this didn't happen and just exposes how many plastics Utd have claiming to be fans.

In my opinion, with this mid field we need to play 4-5-1 or 4-3-3 but not 4-2-2..

Moyes is under pressure from Rooney to play him in #9 or #10 position. It wont work as long as we keep playing this formation..

Welbeck for Vs Lukaku,,, Let's swap Rooney for Lukaku...
