people still think we need to desperately sign a forward? Berba - class. Rooney - class. Fletch - class. Owen - class. Foster - class. And Nani, Man of the match for me.

After the 1st half, I thought we'd rue the missed chances, but BOY was I wrong! Well taken goals and those taken with a little luck, but great all around. Fletch and Scholes were good in midfield. Nani was in and out of the game, but is showing a little more promise. Valencia owned the right wing, but I still wonder if he can cut inside and shoot/cross with his left. Berba showed his class today setting up early chances and finishing a lovely goal. Rooney was Rooney. Good to see Owen get off the mark. My favorite moment had to be the emotion Berba showed after his goal. He was far from "cool". Loved it!

Alright result I suppose. Lol.

Get in what a scoreline. Great for Owen and Berba. Wazza getting the goals to help him be the league top scorer.

Berba's tackling in our own half created the 4th. Get off his case. He is class. I admit, I wanted more goals from Berba. We have another from him. No complaints at all, from today. It did look like a stunner from wigan might have stung us again at half time. We raised our game. and we are back to normal. Gunners won too. Next stop, a proper game of footy. 3 games in, 35 to go till the all-important 19th title. The seasons flying by, and we'll soon forget the Burnley game.

so people say berbatov is shit..

1 goal

2 assists (rooney , won the freekick for nani)

started the move for his goal

started the move for owen's goal (stole the ball from wigan's player- lazy?)

I say pure class..

any doubt that fletcher is our #1 central midfielder now? him and scholes together are a good mix. the midfield and strikers that started are our best 6!

Foster was IMMENSE (His saves made me not miss VDS)
Vida was IMMENSE (I'm happy we've the best defender in the world)
Fletcher was running his own show in CM. Overshadowing Scholes, which is hard to do. But kudos to Scholes, had some great passes too! Nani was better than his usual self. I hope he keeps this up, though it'd be nice to have him run at defenders more, cut in etc.
Evra - Best LB in the Universe.
G Nev just needs more games I reckon.
Valencia, likes his direct play much, prolly needs more games/confidence, doesn't really believe in his ability/potential!
Rooney - As usual 10/10
Berba - Always loved this guy, great assists, great goal/control
Owen, nice debut goal, fuckin top class finish.

Just like the world didn't end after Burnley, we didn't become a superteam today. This is a lesson to all of us of how unpredictable United can be.

@ portugueseprincess - I think it is, sadly. The same fickle fans will be back on when we next lose or draw 0-0. we have played one game more, so we are still chasing the gooners, Chelsea, and 'pool, and I suppose City, should they all win. Not looking forward to Arsenal, nor Spurs, but I can't wait to see Vida vs Tevez. Oh, and that celebration Tevez has promised us!

wowwwww. this is the united everyone knows. rooney has finally matured
going to be his season. berba not the greatest game but who cares his touches were absolutely great and man he scored berba forever.
Honestly owens finish was one of the best.now get ready for some fluent goals guys cose owen is in the town.
nani is coming of his age. he is enjoying ,he is scoring , he is assisting.
guys now we can again say united are in their for the league.

@ spenlunc

your comments disgust me. how can you be a utd fan, i don't know. you have no faith whatsoever, i suggest you go hide now.

really good game today. rooney and berbatov were awesome. fletcher was great, should start every game. nani improved in the second half, first half he gave the ball away too many times. foster made great saves. vidic was solid in defence.

hope we play like we did today against arsenal.

where the Fxxx is berbatov hater and people who always slating our average player now......In Ur Face!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Berbatov are starting to gel with rooney...
Ronaldo rocket are beautiful...but Nani banana is totally rock...
Owen...Our new Solskjaer...
Foster...undoubtedly England no 1...

but the downside of this performance was till when we are going to rely on Scholes to be the creative midfielder...come on young lad...step up quickly...

No matter what anyone says we have 3 world class strickers which all should get 20 goals a season so when people say where are the goals gonna come from any of our lads hit form they will bag goals the team has changed formation and lost ronny of course it was gonna take time but we battered chelsea and yeah we were poor against birmingham and burnley but wait un till we get goin and get playin free flowing football again my worry now is a very difficult game against a in form arsenal side

Berbatov rarely ever loses possession (unlike Tevez) and a sheer god with the through ball. I think we should be seeing him as more of a forward playmaker who can also sniff for cherries in the box. More of a Kaka, than a Nistelrooy.

Brilliant game!

I missed Owen's goal,Costa mate.My dad wanted to watch the Ashes so he took the TV.While I was eating my dinner,Mikey scored .I did see it in the highlights, though.

Must say,my mood improved as the 3 sporting events I'm interested in went on.

Started with the Formula One.I'm a Ferrari fan,and that Badoer bastard qualifies last. Then switched to cricket,England were whooping Australia(I know I'm Indian, but I hate the Aussies) and then FIVE BEAUTIFUL GOALS TO NIL!!It gradually improved and now I can sleep happily knowing that United have won comprehensively.

I agree ChaosRed. It's an emotional game, it's just in the heat of the moment this week people went overboard. Trust me, i feel every loss as much as the next guy, but when we lose it's "this players shit", and "that players got to go". The next week the player plays well, scores etc and we're back to square one.

Maybe, I'm just getting old and have seen it all before. We tend to lose 2-6 games a season, and we can't win every trophy. We should still try though! ;)
