Jamie “Mr Liverpool” Carragher, loves Sir Alex Ferguson, and just when scousers thought their week couldn’t get any worse, Stevie Me, Liverpool’s captain, says he wants United to win the European Cup on Wednesday.
“I hope it’s a very good game from a neutral point of view,” said Gerrard. “I’ll be watching the game and hope there is a lot of entertainment. It’s obviously a difficult question. But I’ve got a lot of good friends who play for Manchester United so I hope they win, although obviously I’m sitting on the fence.”
Absolute quality! As if all the bragging and celebration hasn’t been good enough this week, now we have Gerrard claiming he wants us to step closer to their European record after equalling their English titles one. What a twat.
