Man United might have not had the best start to the 2023 Premier League season. Currently 8th in the overall ranking for the season with 4 games in, Man United definitely need to step up for the rest of the upcoming season. Last week we got a glimpse at what United’s performance could be for the rest of the season, with their dominating victory over Liverpool which resulted in a 2-1 victory for the red devils, the hopes soar higher.

Looking At The Next 2 Fixtures For Manchester United – Leicester & Arsenal

If we take a look at Manchester United’s overall performance so far it’s fair to say it hasn’t been remarkable. By just glancing at the devil’s first two games United was set to struggle for the rest of the season. The initial fixture against Brighton saw United lose 2-1 in favour of Brighton and the second game only got worse. United faced Brentford in their second fixture for the 23 season in what was an appalling performance which will have United fans looking to build time machines after a devastating 4-0 loss.

The doomed start for Manchester United had the most outstanding betting odds on mobile betting apps in favour of Liverpool. This match-up seemed to favour the Devils and after two bad performances, they secured a victory over Liverpool in a dominating fashion. Just a week later they scored yet another victory this time over Southampton.

Facing Leicester

Although United have had a horrible start to the season it’s safe to say it’s actually a way better start than that of Leicester who so far has failed to win a match and are currently facing relegation. Although too early to say for relegation, it’s clear that Leicester has been struggling to get to grips in their most recent fixtures.

This is great news for Manchester United fans who have seen the red devils slowly pick up momentum over their first two losses. That being said Man United aren’t in the clear, as a matter of fact, United have only managed to lead a game with just 2 goals over. Although Leicester has had a horrible start to the season they have also managed to score every game so far.

Both teams have so far faced contenders from the current top 13 in this year’s season. This game currently has the odds in favour of Manchester United but I wouldn’t rule out a surprise comeback from Leicester either. Man United’s last game against Southampton finally brought forward an away win for the devils which is great news considering they have lost every away game so far.

The Match Against Arsenal

After United face relatively low-risk contenders of the current season, they will face the overall current highest-rated team…Arsenal. The 23 season is set to be full of surprises and Arsenal’s performance has definitely been one of them so far and is currently the only team to win every match-up so far. It should also be mentioned that they have also managed to score 2 goals and over for every single match that has taken place, and when they face upcoming contenders Aston Villa it’s guaranteed that they will look to keep their current reign.

Man United is definitely on route to facing trouble if they are to face Arsenal’s current form. It should be noted that Arsenal as of so far has had fairly easier match-ups compared to United. So what is the probability that Man United will win against Arsenal? This is hard to say but bookmakers have United as the likely winner by looking back at the last 33 matches.

That being said, this is the first season since the 92-93 premier league that Man United lost in the first two legs. Ultimately this turned out to be United’s season and maybe they can repeat history once more. It should be also noted that this has been Arsenal’s most outstanding start since the “Invincibles” season of 2002-03.

Conclusion

Looking towards the next two games for Manchester United, it would seem that they have quite a lot to chew. Leicester should be easy contenders for United considering the recent form of Leicester which doesn’t look to be improving. The real challenge for United should be Arsenal who really and truly is yet to face a “top tier” team in this year’s ongoing season.

Overall it will be hard to predict what’s happening at United this week after their latest victories but it’s certain they will look to continue their momentum against upcoming contenders Leicester.
