Ahead of England’s 1-1 draw against Germany in the UEFA Nations League, Manchester United captain Harry Maguire visited the site of the tragic Munich Air Disaster crash.

Playing at the Allianz Arena that evening, he visited Manchesterplatz in the early hours before any crowds gathered to pay his respects.

It was an honour to visit the Manchester United Memorial at Manchesterplatz to pay my respects to the 23 people, including eight Busby Babes, whose lives were lost in the Munich Air Disaster.

Maguire has faced plenty of criticism this season, from England and United fans alike, and will wanting to impress new manager Erik ten Hag before the new season begins with the hope of retaining the captaincy.
