These are the 5 top scorers for Manchester United in the Premier League so far this season.
1. Bruno Fernandes
The captain is leading from the front here. He has scored 10 goals in the Premier League this season, and that’s definitely an impressive number for a player who plays in the midfield.
One of those 10 goals won him the Premier League Goal of the Month in September 2023. So, the Portuguese doesn’t just score, he scores beautiful goals, too.
Also, here’s a little fun fact for you; all 10 goals Bruno has scored in the league this season have either been equalizers or winners. Really, where would Manchester United be this season without their skipper?
2. Rasmus Hojlund
Just behind the captain is the club’s newly-acquired striker Rasmus Hojlund with 8 goals. The 21-year-old Dane struggled to kick things off in the Premier League – it took him nearly 4 months after his debut to get his first league goal – but once he did, he just kept going and his brilliant scoring run even earned him the Premier League Player of the Month award in February.
3. Marcus Rashford
He might not be having the best of seasons, but Marcus Rashford has managed to score 7 Premier League goals this season and that puts him in the top 3 for Man United’s highest-goal scorers in the league.
One of those 7 goals came against neighboring rivals Manchester City in March and that earned him the Premier League Goal of the Season award.
His 7 goal tally is a huge drop from the 17 goals he managed in the league last season and one could argue that the English winger’s lack of goals is one of the reasons Man United have failed to qualify for the Champions League this time around after finishing third last season.
4. Alejandro Garnacho
Next up is the youngster Alejandro Garnacho also with 7 goals. The teenager has had to play a more starring role this season, and he has rewarded the manager’s confidence in him with some really important goal contributions.
And Garnacho has not only scored goals this season, he scored a really beautiful one in the away game against Everton which won him the Premier League Goal of the Month award in November and is also the favorite to win the Premier League Goal of the Season award.
5. Scott McTominay
To wrap up this list is another product of the Manchester United academy Scott McTominay also with 7 goals in the Premier League this season. Although he is a midfielder, McTominay has proven that he has a good eye for goal and he has come in clutch for the team on more than one occasion.
He memorably came off the bench in the home game against Brentford back in October 2023 and scored two additional time goals to single-handedly win the game for Manchester United. That’s a great example of how important the midfielder’s goals have been for the club this season.
