Manchester United and the top four are now racing amongst each other to try and secure their place at the top. It would seem that we are now at the home stretch of the campaign and it is clear that Manchester United want to find a place in the Champion’s League. It certainly doesn’t come as a shock to say that the last 9 games of the season may well define how their summer window and the upcoming seasons are going to play out. They are super important.

The Champion’s League blow that they suffered against Atletico Madrid over at Old Trafford was before the international break and this ended the faint hope that United had of ending their five-year drought that happened this season.  For a club that had some aspirations of being able to challenge the Premier League title, it would seem that they are in a sobering position. If you want to try your hand at betting on the Premier League matches, then it would seem that the odds are not in favour of Manchester United.

What if United Fail to Qualify?

So, what would happen if Manchester United were to fail against the biggest competition that Europe have to offer? It’s safe to say that the managers and the players would take a hit. The club will be less attractive if they do not have a good proposition. It may be that some of the players there want to reconsider their future and that they want to move elsewhere. All in all, it is very difficult to imagine Ronaldo wanting to be in the Europa League, which is a very real problem if Ralf Rangnick’s side are not able to climb into the top spot. Arsenal hold the spot and they have a four-point lead over the other teams. The Gunners have it in their stride and they are also a very young and exciting team.

If you look at United, you will see that they are below the other teams in London. Antonio Conte might be getting a bit hot under the collar and both teams seem to be in far better form when compared to Rangnick and United. There are little signs of things being able to turn things around so far but it would seem that all the three teams involved have had some tough matches. This shows that there is room for things to turn around yet. United are going to play Arsenal on the 23rd of April and this could change the complexity of the race. Spurs and Arsenal could be up against each other, and the match could be a winner-takes-all situation. Arsenal have a lot of fixtures left, including one against Crystal Palace, and they are also going up against Chelsea, West ham and even Southampton. If they are able to get their act together, then there’s no reason why they cannot come out on top.
