United produced their worst performance of the season at the John Smith’s Stadium last weekend, prompting an angry reaction from manager Jose Mourinho.
Their display was in stark contrast to Spurs, who ran riot against Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday to move level on points with United in the Premier League.
With Manchester City five points clear at the top of the table, Saturday’s game is massive for both United and Spurs.
The Red Devils are 6/5 favourites to win the game, with the visitors priced at 12/5. The draw is available at the same price.
Mourinho has received a boost ahead of the game, with defender Phil Jones shaking off the knock he picked up at Huddersfield.
Eric Bailly should also return, but United will need to make late checks on Ander Herrera and Marcus Rashford.
Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick all remain on the sidelines.
United have won their last three home games against Spurs, with the last two finishing 1-0. A repeat of that scoreline can be backed at 7/1.
Spurs’ striker Harry Kane is doubtful for the game after hobbling off against Liverpool, while Erik Lamela and Victor Wanyama have both been ruled out.
Wednesday’s 3-2 defeat against West Ham in the Carabao Cup was an unexpected setback for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and their recent record at Old Trafford is a cause for concern.
Spurs’ last away success against United was a 2-1 victory back in 2014 and they are priced at 8/1 to match that feat this weekend.
Dele Alli was on target against the Hammers on Wednesday and can be backed at 11/4 to add another against United.
Both teams will be eager to avoid defeat this weekend, so Saturday’s game may be a tight affair.
A point apiece would probably suit both managers and backing a 1-1 draw at odds of 11/2 could pay dividends.
