Michael Carrick has been voted as our player of the year by his team mates. He had been shortlisted for the PFA player of the year and RoM argued why he deserved to win it.
Carrick also came 2nd for the Sir Matt Busby player of the year award, as voted for by the fans.
“Obviously this means an awful lot,” he said. “I work with the lads every day and train every day. We’ve got an unbelievable team spirit and players from all over the world come and fit in and make a real effort to fit in. For them to give me the vote for this means an awful lot. It really is special for me.”
