Mata not in Final squad?

The Manchester United squad left for London today, leaving from Stockport station, but Juan Mata was not pictured with the rest of the team.

This has lead to reports claiming that he is not in the matchday squad for the final against Southampton on Sunday.

However, Henrikh Mkhitaryan was present and we know that he has been ruled out with a hamstring injury. Presumably, even if Mata was injured, he would have travelled with the team today.

There is the possibility of him having a virus and therefore kept away from the team as to not spread the illness. Or maybe he is already in London. Yesterday, he was filming a segment with Gary Lineker for Match of the Day, so there’s the chance he was allowed to stay down south.
