Henrikh Mkhitaryan has won the goal of the season away for his scorpion kick finish against Sunderland on Boxing Day.
“To be honest, I was impressed. I couldn’t imagine that I would score such a goal,” he said, when asked what was going through his mind at the time. “I just realised when I went home and watched it again because I didn’t know what happened. I don’t think you have to practice this sort of goal, it comes by itself. You just have to make a quick decision. I couldn’t miss this opportunity because I got a great ball from the God.”
