Jose Mourinho has been charged by the FA for kicking a bottle on the touchline during Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with West Ham.

Mourinho’s frustrations overspilled when Paul Pogba was booked for diving in the first half. Replays showed that Mark Noble would have kicked the player long after the ball had gone if the midfielder didn’t get out of the way.

This was the third time Jon Moss sent Mourinho off. To add insult to injury, when Arsene Wenger was sent off for kicking a water bottle by referee Keith Hackett, he received a letter apologising as he “totally failed to manage the situation”, according to League Managers Association chief at the time, Richard Bevan.
