Gary Neville has reiterated his stance that he will not play for another club once he has retired from Manchester United and boasted of how lucky he is to play for his boyhood team.
“I am very lucky to have played for 20 years for the club that I grew up supporting and even more lucky that that club happens to be 25 minutes from where I live and that it has been one of the most successful clubs in Europe over that period,” said Neville. “I wouldn’t consider playing anywhere else, not at this stage. If I’d been released by the club a few years ago, I would obviously have continued to play football elsewhere. However now, with being 36 at the end of next season, it’s not something that I would contemplate and, to be honest with you, it is my dream scenario to have played at United.”
