Madrid have been awful. It will just get the dippers all excited about saturday too... Unfortunately for them, bar Casillas for Van der Sar, I wouldn't take one of the Madrid players over ours, we out class them all over the pitch (bar in goal).

I dont think I've seen a so called big european team play so badly. Real madrid would have been beaten by anyone. But this will probably result in liverpool being overconfident, with the media claiming they played their best game in europe. Liverpool played well dont get me wrong, but our reserves could have beaten that real madrid team by a couple of goals...

Did anyone else notice St Stevie's blatant dive in opening minutes that commentators acknowledged but brushed aside?

This may appear 3 times by accident so apologies.

Did anyone else notice St Stevie's dive in the opening minutes that the commentators acknowledged but brushed aside?

Ronaldo really wants to join this clusterfuck?Liverpool being in form doesn't concern me.They were in form last season before they came to Old Trafford and we all know what happened. The only thing that concerns me is how much energy our players will be able to recover by Saturday.Especially if it goes to extra time tonight. The dippers are the only team in this round who have had a week's rest.So it is natural that they had the most energetic performance of all the other teams.

Instead of RM wanting to spend £80m on one player they'd be better off spending that on 4 players. One of them being SG. The powers that be at RM must have noticed his performance being better than anyone in their mid field. A good run in the CL will ensure Rafa stops there another couple of years, meaning 'Pool won't win the PL in that time. SG must realise this. Perhaps an offer from RM might persuade him that his opportunity for more medals lies elsewhere than Anfield.

Franco's fascists were a pile of absolute shite, and the first two goals from the dippers should not have stood. So yeah, well done the dirties, enjoy the 'glory' while it lasts!

And they should also thank their secret signing from two years ago:that fucker Heinze.Have you heard the latest? The waiter keeps metioning a UEFA list that has Liverpool as the best team in Europe in the last 5 years.Whatever get you off my friend.I just hope that we deal with Mourinho without extra time. Then our players should recover in time so that we give them the same warm welcome we gave them last season.

the only comment on st.stevie's swallow dive was 'stephen seemed to make the most of that'.
next thing st. carra hoofed the ball away from his own keeper the length of the field and they scored.couldn't believe it,shite team like madrid need 3 so turned over and watched juve.

Was'nt even shown in the highlights. Scousers will no doubt use their old "but the intent to foul him was there" line.

Saw Stevie Me's dive alright, the usual starfish - pathetic.

In fairness to the pool they played brilliantly last night, particularly in the first half. Madrid were rubbish but they never stood a chance with the speed of Pool's tackling & harassing. Bizarre that Benitez plays such negative and uninspired footy week in week out if his team are capable of this.

Not particularly worried about Saturday, there's not a chance they'll get in Utd's face like they did to Madrid. You want a fast game, no worries, we'll match and beat you. You want a slow technical game, no problem we'll pick you apart. We have the ability to take on any type of team in any type of game, unlike the Gooners who for all their lovely football are quite one-dimensional.

Bring on the Vermin, can't wait!!
