As I walked in to the ground on Monday night ahead of United’s title winning game against Aston Villa, “Not Nineteen Forever” by The Courteeners was blaring out over the PA system. The song was played again as the players took part in their lap(s) of honour after the final whistle.
Aside from being fairly amusing to get the song to #1, or at least back in the charts, The Courteeners have claimed they will donate money to the Manchester United Foundation for every copy that is downloaded.
As of last night, the song crept in to the top 70. You can purchase the song on iTunes for 59p.
This banner will be seen in the quadrant for the Chelsea and Swansea games.
