I'm well happy we've signed owen and to repeat the phrase I heard about 4 billion times on MUTV 'He knows where the back of the net is'

Knightsmith earlier suggested we also sign Dean Windass, I agree with him as they are both fat and past it. While we are about the business of buying crap centre forwards I believe Gary Birtles still has a pair of boots and is also out uf contract and could be signed for free. Jeez this is one big pain in the arse!!!!

Dont worry there will be more signings there has to be with all that money! At least we have started now, I think we will sign someone who the press have not been going on about.. maybe Silva from Valencia (for a few years before he goes off to Real as another Galactico!)

Okay Valencia (for Ronaldo) and Owen (for Tevez)...stop arsing about Sir Alex and start to splash the cash, £80m must be burning a hole in the pocket now...Aguerro (need a playmaker desperately), Douglas (take a risk SAF like you did with Ronnie) and Huntelaar (this kid would come back to haunt Madrid given the chance, see if RVN would like to rejoin too and become his mentor!!) In SAF we trust!!!!

This signing reeks of utter desperation, even the most hard-faced United fan must be able to admit that? It's hysterical that when City were being linked with him he was 'a crock, not worth his wages, another joke signing', yet when United go for him it's 'a canny buy, a more-than-adequate replacement for Tevez, another piece of good business from The Wizard'.

LOL.

YES! We can't fail to win the quadruple now. Owen (injured for half a decade), Giggs, (44), Scholes (43), Nani, a couple of Serbian kids we paid about £19m for, John O'Gay, Kusczack, Spokesman Neville (42), Dimitar Veron, Trafford Park, some winger from Wigan and a load of second-rate Brazilian and Portuguese kids, WHAT A SQUAD!

It's becoming embarrassing that (if they do pull off the signings of Tevez & Eto'o as expected, even rumours that Terry might somehow, though i haven't the foggiest why, be a goer, aswell) that City will have amassed a squad within a year that p*sses on ours from a great height. I never thought i'd see the day come when the clubs were going in such obviously different directions, this is CIDDY we're talking about, they're bobbins! Pull your fingers out Alex, Gill, the board, get the likes of Ribery & Aguero on board, we need to finish at least in the top four next season.

Looking for Derek - "A better squad " Are you taking the piss mate? A bunch of fucking mercenaries who have only one thing on their mind........money. We have a better defence, midfield and are you seriously saying that you think Santa Cruz and Bellamy are better than Wazza and Berbatov? Get real. They will NOT get Eto'o or Terry and as for Tevez, Owen has a better goals per game ratio. As for the depth in squad ours pisses all over theirs. I cannot understand some people on here!

Ribery and Aguero? Why the fuck should Sir Alex spend silly money on these two when they have no desire to play for us just to appease fans like you? You are maybe happy to spend £60 million on Ribery who is worth 25 at best and play him even though he wants to be at the Fascists, luckily for United Sir Alex does not. As for Maradona's son in law have we not learned our lesson regarding the "weak" Argies?

FAO: King Eric

Let's now lower ourselves here by comparing our first choice forwards to City's third choice pairing. Would i rather have Robinho, Eto'o & Tevez then Berbatov, Rooney & Owen, of course i would, as would most fans. City, as much as i hate them, have three of the best, say, ten forwards in world football (Tevez scored 35 in 71 starts here, let's not forget), and as backup they've got Bellamy, Santa Cruz & SWP, all proven Premier League players.

Regards them being mercinaries, well, let's be honest, Berbatov's said to be on £90k a week, and Rooney £130k, not as if our own are playing for peanuts. City will have to pay a premium because they're not in Europe at the moment, but they sure as hell will be, probably in the place of one of us Big Four. Owen's goal ratio means nothing, he's started 70 games in four years, Tevez did that in two. 17/18 games a season, well, not sure we can read too much into it, pal.

I'm crapping myself, pal, honestly. We're penny-pinching and they're spending big. I worry about us, i really do, we may've snuck the title this year but i think we were flattering to deceive. Ferguson's time is coming to an end. We need fresh blood, desperately.

They have not got Eto'o yet mate and very much doubt they will. What makes you so sure they are gonna gel? Do you honestly think the likes of John Terry and Eto'o are Hughes choice? No they are just being picked by the owners off a wish list similar to that of Madrid but on a lower scale. I would not worry at all about them and to suggest that Sir Alex's time has come to an end is a joke. We have just won 3 league titles on the spin, 2 champions league finals, a Carling Cup, World club cup and it is time for him to finish? Look at the young talent we have , Valencia will prove a quality buy and as for Owen, I have never been a fan but keep him fit and he WILL score goals. There could be more to come in but we will be fine with what we have.

As for wages Rooney deserves every penny of his and with Citeh we are not talking £90,000 a week, they have been said to have offered Tiny Tears £300,000 per week. It's not quite the same.
