With our game plan destroyed by the numerous injuries in Manchester United’s 0-0 draw against Liverpool, with three substitutions forced before half-time, Marcus Rashford played the full 90 minutes despite picking up an injury from the first minute when Jordan Henderson kicked him.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised Rashford’s fighting spirit to give his all to the team and play through the pain barrier, as he was seen limping around for most of the game.
Marcus is a warrior and he’s a Manc and he knows what this game means. We had to keep him on, because we already had to make three subs. It seemed like it was their plan, to just kick him, because they kept kicking him from the first minute. If that’s not an accumulation of fouls I don’t know. But he stayed on. His ankle is like a balloon, so it was a fantastic attitude by him. He’s angry, because of how many fouls they did on him.
Old Trafford, thank you, you kept us going! ✊? #MUFC pic.twitter.com/kDCc180k05
