Michael Owen has today revealed that his hamstring operation was a success, than he has the option to extend his current deal, and that he can’t wait to play for United again next season.

“I’m just looking to next season now,” said Owen. “I’ve got another year left on my contract here and have the option of a third as well. I’ve had a great time at United and I am really looking forward to being back next season. I had the operation two weeks ago so I’m going to be on crutches for six weeks now. I’m not allowed to do anything on it for six weeks, so I am definitely out for the season.”
