Pele has been singing Manchester United’s praises, showing himself as a glory supporter, who initially liked Liverpool but has been a keen follower of United over the past fifteen years.
“I have always liked English teams,” said Pele. “In the 1970s ad 80s I was a Liverpool fan. I don’t know why, perhaps because they were the top team back then. In the last ten or 15 years I have enjoyed following Manchester United the most. They play the game the right way and, in Brazil, Manchester United are far and away the most popular team. The Premier League is the most exciting league to watch in the world, there’s no doubt about that at all.”
