Andreas Pereira and Manchester United new signing, Fred, have both been called up to the Brazil squad for their games against the USA and El Salvador next month.
This is the first time that Pereira has been called up to the Brazil team, amid rumours he may consider playing for the country of his birth, Belgium. Pereira has previously played for Brazil at U-15, U-16, U-17, U-20 and U-23 level, as well as scoring in the U-20 World Cup final in 2015 which they lost to Serbia.
Fred was a part of the recent World Cup squad but didn’t play after failing to recover from his injury in time.
