Ahead of Manchester United’s third pre-season game today against AC Milan, Andreas Pereira has talked about the impact Michael Carrick is having as a member of the coaching staff.

Having spent two years out on loan, Pereira is determined to fight for his place at United this season and believes he is lucky to have someone like Carrick to learn from.

He gives me advice all the time, he’s very good for me and always tells me what to do and helps me in training, if I do something wrong he tells me and even if I do something good he will tell me as well.

He played in that exact same position, so it’s very easy to learn off him and if he tells you something it’s so easy to pick it up because you understand it straight away. So I’m very lucky he’s there for me.
