It's never Tevez's time to move on! Why would he want to? He still gets plenty of games and so far, is our only striker that fit/not banned

I have to agree with the assessment of Tevez. As I've said before, if work rate was everything then, Alan Smith would have been a better player than Cantona. For the same money we get Benzema. No contest.

a) to dismiss Tevez as purely a hard worker is absolutely clueless
b) no chance do we get Benzema for the £20-25m required to get Tevez (all this talk of £32m is a red herring, we've paid at least £8-10m of that in the form of the loan fee for the last two seasons) - you have heard of Jean-Michel Aulas, right?
c) giving exposure to nonsense like that article on Tevez or pretty much anything written on the horrendous SoccerLens baffles me.

The idea of collating United-related articles is a good one but doing so on a daily basis seems a little OTT. Penguinissimo of Red Rants had a spin-off blog for a while ( http://penguinunited.blogspot.com/ ) which sadly seems to have died a death, but he had it absolutely spot-on with regards to occasional 'you should read' posts - a handful of the very best articles from the last week or so, rather than any old dross churned out with a vague United connection from the past 24 hours.

Jean-Michel Aulas (born 1949 in L'Arbresle, a commune in Rhône), is a French businessman, the founder and CEO of CEGID. He is the president of the football club, Olympique Lyonnais of France since 1987. He was also the last president of the G-14 from May 16, 2007 until it disbanded in January 2008. He was also named as the RHÔNE-ALPES Manager of the year 2004. He currently serves on the board of European Club Association for Olympique Lyonnais.

One thing I've noticed about Mark Lawrenson and Alan Hansen is that, considering the club that they played for, they're far more objective when it comes to footballing matters than the scouse worshipper that is Alan Green. Whether they talk sense is open to debate (I think Hansen does most of the time, apart from his infamous 'you can't win anything with kids' moment), but at least they're prepared to call a spade a spade.
