"Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher says Manchester City beating Manchester United in the FA Cup semi-final would mean more to him than City reaching the Champions League."

Small club mentality - bit rich coming from a fan supporting the richest team in the world - 1.1 billion

That's all they think about is beating United...

Come on United....

"Manchester City v Manchester United: Life president Bernard Halford insists the tide is turning blue"

Mike Summerbee eat your heart out - there is one more deluded bitter than you

Now pay attention Reds it's time for a maths lesson:

city formula = no trophies = tide is turning blue

Words escape me my dearies

A part reading of city life president Bernard Halford taken from telegraph:

Despite his blue blood, Halford admits to friendships with ‘that lot across the road,’ and confesses to relishing the prospect of toppling Sir Alex Ferguson’s empire.
“I thought the ‘Welcome to Manchester’ poster was fabulous,” Halford said. “I know Alex didn’t like that, but it’s just part of the banter and I thought it was terrific.
“Fergie is fantastic. I get on well with him and he has done lots of things for me for charity, such as setting up Wayne Rooney for a fundraising dinner last year.
“But as a City fan, I don’t want to see the back of him. I want to see us beat him. This ‘noisy neighbours’ thing is great, I enjoy it, because it means we are getting ready to do something.
“It will come and I believe that. I just hope it happens before I pop my clogs. I want us to be in the ascendancy and I will relish that to some tune!”

Bring it on you old bastard - bring it on... Today the dark side shall rise again ;)

I actually think it looks class that pic, football rivalry aside it just shows how football can still be in touch with reality, getting the train to an away game! It was only last year cant remember the fixture but all the united players travelled by train in exactley the same way but all got on at different stations and Giggsy got on at Stockport on his own wearing his United tracksuit.

They do indeed look scruffy but a word of warning to fellow Reds stating our team always travels in team suits- that is nonsense.... Only two weeks ago we travelled down to London for the CL Chelsea game in tracksuits!
Anyhoo- lets hope for a convincing romp to victory sending the Blue Noses crying back to Stockport!

@heinnlinn, Loads of players from both clubs live south of the City, so Stockport would be nearer to home. Some United players got snapped at Macclesfield station recently.

@xol I'm not quite sure I understood.. but I think you've gotta be from the local areas to really understand the rivalary and the conflicts between the reds and the blues. Thanks anyway, and have fun during the game!

I AM NOT A MAN April 16, 2011
@heinnlinn

City Fans always go on about them being the only fans actually from Manchester.
The fact is that City fans mostly come from shitholes like Stockport way way outside Manchester and populated by people who have never really achieved anything in real life and therefore live in a shitty little aspirational dump like Stockport.
Stockport has no charm, no charisma and is completely boring.
Hence why City fans actually come from Stockport and NOT Manchester and why their team leaves from Stockport train station.
