Evra played brilliantly I thought, flying defensive headers and all sorts. Also, I'd defy any player who understands the history to NOT get emotional at Anfield. Even a player who knows fuck all about it will soon clock on. Shame about Giggsy in the wall, we had it covered so it was a soft goal to concede really. But that aside, our makeshift squad contained them very well and wasn't dominated in possession. We did a good defensive job on them, hats off to the Captain. Also, considering he was fouled at the Kop end I thought kissing his badge was the least he could do to shut them up. I loved every second of it.

Quick rant, that dive by Downing early on was absolutely scandalous and 100% deserving of Evra brandishing the card. As a player how can you see somebody dive like that to get YOU booked and YOU don't demand action from the ref? I thought Evra was pretty cool about it all things considered, I wanted to strangle the fucking commentators who had more criticism for our Captain speaking out. Wilkins was banging on about "not wanting to see that in our game" but nobody said a single word about the blatant simulation. I think more players should wave imaginary cards at diving. Downing doing the deed was enough to put you off your imported Coffee, because if a foreigner dived without any contact like that the English game would be in uproar. Cos English lads player proper footie init? Lol fuck off, does anybody remember the bad press Nani received for being assaulted by an Englishman on his last visit? A year later Downing is bang to rights and gets off scot-free? No wonder this country wins FUCK all when it outsources its own faults. Deluded small time bottle jobs. Evra was doing the English game a favour you uppity twats. Thing is I actually respect Wilkins opinions on most things, but fuck right off for selectively speaking out against simulation. Have some fucking integrity, because decades of hiding English blushes ain't brining international silverware any closer. Stop talking shit in the media and the nation might just make it to the dizzying heights of a semi final again.

Rant Over :mrgreen:

Agree about the Downing dive. Don't really know why Ray Wilkins ignored it and chastised Evra for waving the imaginery card either.

Since when was waving the imaginery card worse than pure cheating?

The referee was very poor yesterday.

The allegations of racism better explain Evra's conduct.

I think the FA may have to take these racism claims seriously this time as apparantly the referee heard it as well and went straight to the FA with his report. Personally I think Suarez is a most unpleasant character from what I have seen of him this season. Not content with getting Rodwell sent of for nothing last time out now he racially abuses Evra. Actually his behaviour was appalling agaist Tottenham too but what does one expect from a Dalglish signing?

Evra was brilliant for me yesterday. He did fantastically well and I certainly hope he can maintain this form and get better! Definitely worthy of the armband when Vida is out.

I think it hilarious that gerrard holds up 5 fingers, and more-so the fact that every time he does it the dipper fans think they are still successful!!! Not even in the Europa League!!! Birmingham managed that, LMFAO.

Love that Pat got into the spirit of the game, and that his performance was up to scratch.

Wat about Queen Kenny saying that if Rio was honest he'd say that he should of walked for brushing the side of speedster Adam's foot as he threw himself to the ground. and that the Ref cost LFC the game,
He really said this shit!!!! Wat a f*%king deluded prick.

Makes me laugh tho,

@Denise Williams

I wasn't aware that the referee actually included what he heard in his report. If so then this new "saga" should get interesting soon enough. Ironically the FA had an unrelated "Kick Racism out of Football" presentation today, congratulating themselves for something or the other. You couldn't make it up.

Suarez got away with kicking Evra in the knee. And Adams goes down mighty easy for a supposedly tough player. Those losers have to cheat to win.
