Mats Moller Daehli posted a picture to his Instagram account of his first football game. He was born in Oslo but lived in London for two years after his father, a football journalist, moved to England for work.

He returned to Norway and played for Lyn but was spotted by Manchester United when he was 12-years-old. He trained with United a few times before joining the club as a 15-year-old.

Daehli won the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award at the end of his first season after signing a professional deal at 17, but was allowed to leave the club last summer to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde.

He has just signed for Cardiff, following another former team mate to work with Ole again, Magnus Wolff Eikrem, but this picture shows he became a red a lot earlier than we thought.
