Reports have emerged this afternoon that Angelo Henriquez (right) has passed his medical ahead of his move to Manchester United. His arrived at the Bridgewater Hospital at 12:30pm and successfully passed it at 3:35pm.

The 18-year-old striker has been linked to United for some time and reportedly an agreement was made between us and his club, Universidad de Chile, when he was 15-years-old.

“The idea of the people of Manchester is that I début here, I mature here and I will go to them when I have a little more experience,” Henriquez said in 2009. “My favourite player is Henry, but I’m more like Ruud van Nistelrooy.”

The agreement, which was expire in 2014, is apparently worth €4m for the player, but reports today have claimed we’re paying £4m for him. There has been some suggestion that the player won’t make the move until December, but the deal has been pushed through now after City started to show an interest.

Despite only turning 18 this year, Henriques has represented Chile at U15, U17, U20 and U23 level and at last year’s South American U-17 Football Championship he scored 3 goals in 4 games.
