Not too sure about the V colour - why not white or red?

not THAT bad!
I've only just STARTED getting used to the AIG shirts and now from next season we'l have Aon on our shirt, its going to start looking weird all over again.
I miss the Vodafone jersey so badly now. Not our performances in them though! :P

It's pretty neat but I can't help but feel that it would look much better if the blue strip is red or gold instead.

The picture shown is of a fake shirt, made in Thailand from word of mouth and speculation on what the shirt will look like.
Probably from the same place where those supposed home shirts with white Chevrons were made and the ones with Saudi Telecom as the sponsors.
Lots of these shirts get made, some look like the real ones, but miss off details such as things on the back or design elements specific to the shirt.

One key giveaway on a fake shirt is the way in which its presented.
They always stick the same tags hanging from the arm. These tags arent even on genuine shirts.
They always have them either on a manakin or lying ond a dodgy floor/bed.

The away shirt is black and will replace the blue shirt, given the similar style to the home shirt, I doubt it will have a chevron, if it does, it wont be that colout blue.

It's fake. It must be. I hope it is ;)

Our away kit should be all black with red V. That would be great (kinda the like we had in 07/08 - http://store.manutd.com/stores/manutd/_artwork/_common/kit_selector/153/dummy.jpg )

I can't see the point in buying the new shirt if we are just gonna have it for one season.

I hope during this credit crunch they reduce the price!

This closed season just gets worse and worse! Ronaldo gone, Tevez gone (although he can fuck off after what he said), Owen in, the worst shirt design ever and now to compound my misery they've made it in grey and fucking blue! If there was a God he'd take me now!

to swissred &others:
I THINK (!) that it IS BLACK THOUGH

the problem lies with the author of the foto & wrong use of flash; also the blue will be (well IF!) a little different - look at GK away shirt at offic. web - megastore.

well, nevetheless - I wanted BLACK with RED ...

I think i wont be investing in any united kits this year. i'll stick to the classics , last season i bought myself a 1963 replica with law 10 on the back. Think i'll invest in a george best 1968 replica this year

I sincerely hope this is a fake, far away from the eventual real one. Its fuckin AWFUL, might follow others advice and buy a replica, fancy 77 cup final myself. Usually i dont mind a bit of blue or indeed a blue shirt, but the blue chevron!!! Its got to be red, if the shirt was black with a red chevron, i'd give it a chance, worn with black shorts too!

All this v for victory shit is getting on my nerves!

It might end up as egg on our face as victorless! All too american influance in my eyes! This aint america, us british dont go for things like that! What next a fucking eagle on the shirt as well as a name change, Manchester United Bears, or Manchester United Bulls

Who knows!

With regards to my comments its my view. I have read reports that the V is also a sign for Victory or something like that. If this is true its way over the top for me!

Someone also mentioned that it is supposed to comemorate Uniteds First Strip.

Newton Heaths first strip in 1878
was green and yellow checkered, Front Half Green Half Yellow with Bak Reveresed.

when they Changed to Manchester United in 1902 their strip was an all red top, they did however introduce white top with Red V during the years 1922 to 1927.

I just dont get it! If honest id rather have plaed in a retro kit simular to when we played man city to comemorate the Munich Disaster!

@Trevor:The "V for Victory" thing was said by Park.

http://therepublikofmancunia.com/v-for-victory-as-united-release-100-year-celebration-kit/

Also, the kit is supposed to be reflective of the kit we wore in the 1909/10 season, the season in which OT was first used.
