"The Everton game was the killer. With seven minutes to go we were 4-2 up and hit the post, then they scored two at the other end.

You can analyse every game you want to, but we still lost the league on goal difference. It’s the first time it has really happened to us. Goal difference is usually such a strong thing for us. If you look at the derby defeat at home, 6-1, if we had kept it at 3-1 that would have been a six-goal difference and we could have wiped that out quite easily in the Swansea or Sunderland games."

:( What transpired at the end of the City and Everton home games were two of the biggest disgraces I have ever witnessed as a United fan. Still gets me fuming every time I think about it, so I try not to!

Clint - united aren't spending lavishly/for the sake of it like some clubs. FERGIE has continued the philosophy of trying to produce and i think that will definitely give the younger players belief and confidence to step up. As you say, lingard is a star in the making. Petrucci, tunnicliffe, larnell cole, will keane (hopefully recovers well from his injury), michael keane e.t.c. At united, we have a nucleus of outstanding potentials Who have all been playing together for a long time, all the hardwork of the coaches is now starting to reap rewards. I think compared to all fans at different clubs, united fans probably have the most patience regarding youth, it's a mentality that we've all been immersed in. I honestly believe we'll start to see these young players making the step up. The stakes may be high but FERGIE knows how to bed them in.

Personally, i feel at least petrucci and tunnicliffe could make the step up this season, lingard could spring a suprise.

I like how one SAF interview turns into 43 different stories in other papers.

As so many here know and have discussed this Wazza needs games after any lay off. From the man himself on this topic.

ON ROONEY’S PERFORMANCE AT EURO 2012

Wayne was criticised for his performance at Euro 2012. Was that inevitable given the amount of time he had off before?

Definitely. We know him better than anybody. If Wayne misses a couple of games, it takes him three or four to come back.

He needs a lot of football. He’s a big lad. He is stocky and he needs a lot of games. I always thought it was a difficult one really. He’d not played since his last game on May 13 until the third game of the Euros more than a month later.

I don’t know what his stats were but he certainly didn’t look as sharp as normal. When he played one big game in four days and then had to play another one, that is very hard.

Fred great PICS!!! wow to be a MUFC player on tour!!!

Rio had a great interview in Chicago last year, his first trip to the US he walked down Michigan Ave. And no one knew him. this last time, not like Europe, but people knew him. Vessli said to tour with MUFC vs $hity, was like the Beatles vs Cheep Trick.

Utd till i die - The premier league is famed for its physical nature and speed but gradually, that has started to drift and more technical play is coming in. Teams are now wanting to play more football (excluding stoke, maybe westham with allardyce), referees are no longer lenient so you can't really "Clatter" into anyone without spending the next 10 games banned. I don't think clubs want to lose key players so you'll see more discipline in players than ever before.

I heart stuart pearce is planning on playing cleverly on the fucking right in tonight's GB warm up game against brazil. I hope it's right central midfield with the possibility to drift into the centre. That bullshit england did with scholes is rising again. Cleverly is a fucking central midfielder, why is this tactically inept stuart trying to play him out of position?

Great read that, Bailey was one of my heroes going to OT.....Great goal keeper......Still surprising that for me one of his best games was against WBA (Munich chanting cunts) at home when we lost 5 - 3!! Some of his saves were world class, we could have been thrashed by a lot more had it not been for him

Tree my last though on the matter, and like MUFC and SAF will move on to 20.

from last night. All my bullshit posts can get in the way of how I truly feel. Thanks Tree and STR.

Over time I have used RoM for rehab, and info and just a place to laugh.
I just reread the Republic of Manchuria at the top again, good stuff I recommend a read/ or reread of this.
8 years ago I learned how to go online and read up and learn more of this great game. Started on fox soccer, had some 700 posts threads all the time, I saw SAF rebuild and I got hammered by the ABU’s fought well with other REDS who taught me much in 5 years then they redid the website and for moths set Idle a Regulars was started. It was awesome for 6 months then the worse of man came out of us then only 6 to 8 guys hate for each other bought down the site, I hear other such stories. Thats why I fight off the personal attacks so. attack my view but not me. Here is a world seldom found in Cyber Land. That is why so much defense, passion by all.
In marketing there is wild numbers of how 100′s read for every one who posts. So there must be 10,000 Reds and growing world wide who love and read RoM Thanks STR and when you can I hopefully know Cedars will return. For he is a beacon in the ABU battle against darkness and would not have done what he did if he did not love MUFC the Red army and RoM so very much. A marter from the land of heaven who is A RED NIGHT OF RoM. He fought for me, RoM and you every day here since I showed, we battled after befriending then became Cyber Brother for life. He was one of 3 to befriend me, Willie and MG the others, our Cyber Band Of Red Brothers. Much love Tree I bleed today, gutted by the dominoes that fell today that i pushed over the first. Tears fill my eyes and find another path…. See you in my mind and here in STR’S due time.

Today is the day he returns, seems so long you have been gone. For at times, it is harder to take compliments then insults so, FUCK OFF TREE

James - Nice interview with Gary Bailey. Cheers for the link.

I chuckled at his description of what pre-season training was like in his day:

"All we did was run, run, run. We'd run up big hills and then back down again - the last person back would have to do it again. Looking back, it seems so antiquated. Why were we not learning from other countries who had already embraced sports science? The Italians were ahead of us and America was way ahead - they had masseurs and sports psychologists even then. We just turned up at pre-season and were told to run. And as a goalkeeper, that didn't do me an awful lot of good."

Running up and down a hill! Perfect preparation for a long hard season of football.

@ fred : doesn't matter what you use. By personal opinion 'd say 7-zip.. More useful unzipping cd's.
To be used more specifically if you download any software online. You'll get it in a .iso file format. 7-zip will help with that. Winrar or winzip wont

@samuel - united WE stand

Pearce constantly did the same thing with him in the U21's and he never looked anywhere near the player he did playing centrally for United but maybe it's a case that centrally they are better covered and that Tom on the right is better than any other wide options.

Fred - Yeah it's the best, been using it for years.

For the record, WinRAR unpacks ZIP, RAR, CAB, ARJ, LZH, TAR, GZ, ACE, UUE, BZ2, JAR, ISO, 7Z, and Z archives.

Fred July 20, 2012
eric keane - thanks for the advice. True enough, I recall downloading an iso file a while back and WinRAR not being of any use in "mounting" it or something like that? :? LOL anyway, I don't download ISO files very often at all, so I think I'll stick with WinRAR for the time being. Actually, the only thing that annoys me about WinRAR is the pop-up urging me to buy the full version every time I use it. It's only a minor annoyance though.

Okay I have another query for you tech experts: what is your choice of disk defragmenter? I'm looking at Auslogics Disk Defrag, Piriform's Defraggler and Smart Defrag by IOBit.
