Roy Smyth has to be one of the worst journalists working today, he's so full of hate aginst United and Sir Alex. Did you hear the Football Weekly Extra pod yesterday? Pathetic twat Smyth is.

@bchilds - yes and, laughably, he actually calls himself a United fan. He's a piece of shit, just like Rooney.

Yea I know, that's what makes it worse! Whenever I hear AC Jimbo's intro and it mentions on the pod is Rob Smyth my stomach sinks!

To be honest 150k i was happy wayne stayed at 180k i'm a bit annoyed about it. At a 150k i thought maybe after such reaction from fans and possibly the reactions of other managers, who seemed to back United and say Wayne is making a mistake, on top of SAFs amazing ability to have the media dance to his merry tune, i thought Wayne might have just said maybe i do belong here. Lets be pretty fuckin honest here people, I was starting to doubt our ability to attract top class players. Look at the state The Glazers have the place financially. The Allure of playing for Us just isn't enough, for you and me yes but thats cause we properly Live and Love United, not everyone has grown up like us. If Waynes statement about being worried about how we sit when competing with Real Madrid, City, Chelsea, Barca in the transfer market are true then fuckin fair play to him because at the end of day we were asking the same. Something needed to be done. As much as i have faith in the current players there is without doubt something just missing from that squad. If that was true then this new contract i see as a statement of intent from the club that they will not shy away from buy what's nessecary. No one but No one could seemingly make us less frugal these days has Rooney just forced the Glazers hand? I hope so if that were the case i'd have no problem loving Wayne again.

At 180 k i think it must have been the money and i think Rooney is a CUNT. I'll Probably mind less if its performance based with objectives like with the league, win the champions league, selfless objectives. If it's a flat out 180k regardless then i see the Cunt in Rooney. I'd feel sick if that were the case.

He NEEDS to apologise, He needs to grovel, He needs to sack that dirty bastard Stretford. Agents should be banned from the game. There's just no need for someone there specifically to rock the cradle for his own greedy means.

He also needs to hope that he wasn't being courted round Europe like a whore to the highest wage payer.

It's been a crazy week for us all, a dark dark week i'd rather forget. I just hope in 3 - 4 years time when it times to renew contracts we'll be sitting with an outstanding squad full of grafters and geniuses laden with all sorts of medals saying i'm glad of the way things panned out. I hope we can get through the next rocky load of months with no revelations of daggers in our back. To me it'll make the difference if it comes out that deals with potential new employers were being thrashed out.

Well when he leaves in a 18 or so months the club will get a big payday. I doubt he will be here for the full five years.

I think i have just had the most fantastic idea ever. Wayne should do a no bullshit tell all interview on MUTV with the interviewer being everyones favourite celebrity fan Michael Parkinson and we could let Eammon Holmes grilling him alongside him. They'll find the truth the whole truth and hopefully nothing but the truth.

aig and willie - Aah. I see. Cheers lads.

Fred and bchilds - One of the worst things is that these hacks slate United and Fergie then a week later are sat in the mutv studio's cosying up to Mandy or Stuart Gardener. The worst of the lot are all the fuckers on Sunday Supp. Now that show IS anti- United. Led by sheephead Woolnough and Wenger loving Barclay. The one who I have most time for as I have said before is Henry Winter.

Bet dogger Stan is fucking seething not to mention that ginger fucker Durham. Quinny as well. God I fucking love it.

aig @16.08 city had a deal done at 260k a week,i read an article this morning alot of press and other managers thought a deal had been done aswell,so it would appear he's turned down a extra 80k a week to stay so should we applaud him for that,is that loyalty to utd giving up a extra 320k a month,i called him all the names under the sun over the last couple of days and for any of us it would be different because we'd give our left nut just to play for utd,if its true he is giving up a fair chunk of change to stay, i'm so fucking confused

Wayne - There's no doubt in my mind he was going to City, maybe he did bottle it, who knows, eh.

@willierednut it would be hard for anyone not to be tempted by that kind of money,i think the irony is if rooney had come out and said city have offered 260k a week but turned them down for 180k to stay at utd,the fans would have seen him as a fucking hero,go figure

Wayne

the word is he did bottle it. Possibly feared the backlash of the fans or maybe for his own good he realised its better to stay at united with a high salary even its not up there with city. While we shouldnt applaud him because what he has done is wrong the good part is he did realise he was about to make a mistake just in the nick of time

the other theory going around is he just wanted a high salary hence wasnt ready to sign. However when this became public, Brian Marwood who is director of football at city and knows Stretford well, contacted him and presented him with this offer. City were pretty confident and were ready to wait till 2012 or pay 30million pounds but Rooney decided better to accept the best United offer and stay

I saw my mate the other day,
He said to me he’s seen a mercenary,
So I asked, who is he?
He goes by the name of More Money.

More Money, More Money,
More Money’s a mercenary!

....no need to mention the cunt's name!!
