If there was really a god to you think he would be interested in football? I'm pretty sick and tired of players paying tribute to god, or Muamba thanking god for saving him. Yes we are all glad the lad pulled through but seriously how about thanking the medical staff who saved his life rather than an unprovable man in the sky.

Get a grip folks! We cannot win every year, we were second on goal difference! We have the basis of a very good team. Give them another couple of Yeats and we will be back

Fark the scousers, fark the bitters. But I will admit that I was rooting for the English team over FC Hollywood - I considered myself a neutral once our MUFC left the competition, and one must admit the manner in which this UCL was won was an intriguing tale. I love stories like these as long as it's not you-know-who nor our noisy facking neighbors (still not over last week - that 's TWO lost two-goal leads that cemented our fate).

Now stories like Captain Coont getting into his kit to hoist the Cup - that I can do without, though it did bring me back to reality that form is temporary and class is permanent.

Maybe this year it wasn't in the cards for us, but I will still have some fond memories to take away. And lest we forget: YOUR PLAYERS MAKE MONEY, OUR PLAYERS MAKE HISTORY

cheers/dom

Was still great that the ressies beat Cities' "Elite Development Squad". Seems that all the "Sugar Daddy" clubs use a load of bullshit "corporate speak". No class -as the guys have said.

"thieves get rich and saints get shot and god doesn't answer prayers a lot"

Proof of god not existing, he would have burnt this planet to the ground before 13:th may 2012, to spare the world from the horrifying news that the trophy only costs around 10 billion quids.

I've been battering my head against the wall to explain how its been going down hill for 3 years at this club and people have been pulling stats out of their arse to prove me wrong. It's all come to a head now hasn't it. We cannot really complain about who is lifting those trophies considering our complete failure to do something about it.

Agree with brett1985. And now fergie and co are arguing the toss with Dortmund about Shigawa. Hazard to United? No chance. Fergie will see "no value in that". But he saw value in Berbatov, Tosic, Bebe, Obertan, Da Silva brothers !! Lets face it, we are shopping for cheaper players and that is what we are getting !! I cant see any change happening as the Glazers are taking us for a ride and Fergie is letting them do whatever they want !! So dont be surprised if the trophies end up down the road again while we are messing around trying to buy "for the future" !!!

I don't think we need to spend big bucks. We've found plenty of value in the market before in Vidic, Evra and Hernandez for example. In fact its the big money buys that have failed us- Berbatov and Young. Whilst it may be difficult to unearth players for a pittance who turn out to be a revelation I still think we've made some rank bad buys in the market and poor choices. Kompany only cost 6m, look at Ba and Cisse. Maybe we didn't need a centre half at the time and maybe its hard to put your finger on who will turn out great but it's not as if some of the names I mentioned have to be unearthed in outer mongolia. They were already fairly prominent talents. We just need to get our ass in gear in terms of scouting a la 4-5 years ago. We have got the hub of a decent side- 89 points says that much!
