With Rio Ferdinand serving as the director of 10 different organisations (Rio Ferdinand Live The Dream Trading Ltd, RGF Enterprises, White Chalk — Youths In The Basement Ltd, Rio Films LLP, Scion Films Sale and Leaseback Sixth LLP, Rio Ferdinand Live The Dream Foundation, White Chalk Publishing, White Chalk Records, Next Generation TV and Film Ltd, Broomfield Business Ltd.), as well as #5 Magazine, #5 Clothing and Rosso, one could be forgiven for thinking that his eye wasn’t totally on the ball. Then there is his Twittering, which can be fairly embarrassing, to say the least.

But when United score an important goal, you can almost guarantee that Rio will go totally mental, indicating his football does mean more to him than some (including myself) may suggest.

After Chicharito scored our winner against Stoke, 5 minutes after they had equalised, our defender was seen going totally schizo. Good on you, Rio.
