England take on Holland on Thursday evening in the semi-final of the Nations League. England finished top of their group, which included Spain and Croatia.
Marcus Rashford scored in both games against Spain, while Jesse Lingard scored in the final game against Croatia.
Ahead of Thursday’s game, the Manchester United pair were spotted chatting to former Manchester City player, Jadon Sancho. The Borussia Dortmund player has been linked with a move to United this summer after enjoying a brilliant season in the Bundesliga.
Reports suggest that United were favourites to sign Sancho, who joined City for £500,000 from Watford’s youth academy, but our failure to qualify for the Champions League next season has put him off.
The teenager has since been linked with Real Madrid and a return to City, but United would be able to offer him a more prominent role and, likely, a higher salary.
Sancho scored 12 and assisted 14 in the league last year, as well as a goal and assist in the Champions League. He made his first two appearances for England in the Nations League ahead of the semi-final. If England win, they will face Portugal in the final, after Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hattrick against Switzerland on Wednesday night.
Hopefully Rashford and Lingard are putting in a good word!
