Earlier this week, Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola claimed that the midfielder wanted to leave Manchester United. Having spent three years at the club, winning the Europa League and League Cup in that time, Pogba has decided it’s time to move on.

Everyone within the club from the manager to the owner knows Paul’s wishes. Everyone knows the willingness of Paul to move on. We are in the process of that. Everyone knows what the feelings of Paul are.

The opinion among the fan base is split but many won’t blame him for wanting a transfer. A club like Real Madrid, who are reportedly interested in him, could potentially offer him league titles or Champions League medals, which is not on the table at United and likely won’t be for some time.

Raiola also refused to confirm that Pogba would be going on the pre-season tour, but the player was pictured flying out to Australia with the rest of the squad today. They’ll arrive in Perth on Monday afternoon local time.

United play Perth Glory on July 13th and Leeds United on July 17th, before flying to Singapore for a game against Inter Milan on July 20th. The final game of the tour is against Spurs in Shanghai on July 25th.
