Marcus Rashford’s incredible form continued at the Nou Camp this evening with him scoring Manchester United’s equalising goal before setting up the second to put us 2-1 ahead.

However, Barcelona came back and equalised, leaving Rashford in his interview describing the post-match feeling as though we’ve lost.

It feels like a loss. I think we did well to get back in to the game. The first half was probably a little bit in favour of them. We stayed calm and composed. We tried to create chances and in the second half we scored two goals in quick succession. We felt in control of the outcome. But they’re a good team with top players so they managed to get an equaliser.

We were searching for the chances, maybe because we were a goal behind, but we were really going for it and trying to score goals.

A defining moment was when Rashford was fouled on the edge of the box but no decision was forthcoming. Erik ten Hag was shown a yellow card for his reaction, with it seeming like a clear red card challenge. Rashford echoed the manager’s sentiments after the game, questioning why on earth he would choose to go down if not fouled when he only had the goalkeeper to beat.

It’s a massive moment in the game. To be honest, I’ve not watched it back. But in the moment, I don’t understand why the linesman or the referee thinks I’m going down there. I’ve touched it past him and my foot is in front of the ball and he hits my leg. It’s clear contact. It’s 100% a foul for me.
