Angelo Henriquez has today signed for Atlas FC in Mexico after spending several years in Croatia playing for Dinamo Zagreb.

Henriquez joined Manchester United in 2012 when he was 18-years-old for £4m. He went straight in to the U-21 team before being loaned out to Wigan in the January where he scored one goal in eight appearances. He also claimed an FA Cup Winners’ Medal after his team beat City in 2013. He was an unused substitute at Wembley.

The following season he was loaned out to Real Zaragoza where he scored six goals in 25 appearances in Spain’s second division.

He was then loaned to Dinamo Zagreb where he had his most successful season to date, scoring 30 goals in 37 appearances. United fans were excited about his return to the club for the 2015-16 season, but United instead allowed his move to Zagreb to become permanent half way through his loan year, selling him for £1m. His loan contract included Zagreb’s right to first refusal.

Henriquez scored 11 goals in 39 appearances, then 2 in 30, before rediscovering his goalscoring form this season. He currently has 9 goals in 23 appearances but has now moved to Mexico.

He will joining up with former United youth team player Ravel Morrison, who signed for Atlas FC on loan from Lazio at the start of this season.
