With all his business and show biz lifestyle on the side, Rio Ferdinand may have surprised some recently when he claimed he one day wanted to be a football manager.

Speaking with Andy Mitten, Rio has explained it’s something for the future, when asked where he’d be in ten years time.

“I’ll either be managing a club or will be doing the school run and working on my magazine and charities,” he said. “If the opportunity comes along then I’ll definitely have a look at it, but I’ve got a while left yet before I have to contemplate it.”

Ryan Giggs recently claimed that Gary Neville would make a great number two, something which Rio agrees with.

“Gary Neville, he’d be perfect. He’d cross the Ts and dot the Is.”
