Rio Ferdinand has come out with the usual pre-match rubbish, ahead of England’s match tonight against European Champions, Spain. He reckons they’re the best team in the World but after beating Germany in a friendly, thinks England are good enough to take them.

I’ll settle for Torres getting injured and United players going unscathed.

“It will be a massive test for us, especially after what Spain did last summer, winning Euro 2008,” said Rio. “With the players they’ve got they are the best team in Europe if not the world. But we’re also in good form. After winning in Germany we believe we can beat any team on the planet.”
