The Guardian has today reported that Robin van Persie is set to follow Nani to Fenerbahce after the striker has apparently agreed personal terms with the Turkish club.

Van Persie’s agent, Kees Vos, has been in Istanbul for the past two days, working to agree a deal for his client. The Dutch striker is keen to play regularly, ahead of Euro 2016, and Fenerbahce have guaranteed him playing time.

Van Persie’s compatriot and friend, Dirk Kuyt, spent three years at the Turkish club after leaving Liverpool, winning three trophies, and has encouraged the striker to make the move.
