An old interview with Liverpool boss, Brendan Rodgers, has emerged where he sings the praises of Louis van Gaal.
When managing Swansea, Rodgers was interviewed by The Blizzard, and claimed that he was inspired by the current Manchester United manager’s style of play.
“Our philosophy was to feel confident in a possession game and keep improving the players through video analysis, through talking, communicating,” he said. “I’ve been a follower of their [Barcelona] model for many, many years. I was so enthused by it. Van Gaal … I just loved their way of playing.”
