for me the nasri one is interesting,he's already come out and said money is not a motivator. that should eliminate citys 150k a week,so would wenger rather sell nasri to chelsea or utd?. him being a stubborn bastard let nasri rot at the gunners and get fuck all for him next year,logically that would be about as stupid as it gets.if reports are true nasri wants to come to OT,think he's coming lads.lol 20 to 30 rom regulars eating crow,i hope STR has the appropriate thread

How about the outrageous deal that City are getting.... 150m for naming rights to ground that belong to the council (people of Manchester)? ?It smells of corruption; away of getting around the UEFA spending rules! Questions need to asked.

Thats not on - and if the Council have a legal leg to stand on, things are so tough im sure this won't be the end of that story. Can't see how City can get away with it, unless they can somehow prove their plans for the money will benefit the whole City :roll:

My understanding is that Manc City Council have signed a new deal with City in which City pay a set amount each year regardless of the amount of people who use the stadium (they used to take a percentage of money earnt) They have effectively signed the use of the stadium over to City and the area around the stadium for City to use as they wish, this is supposed to help regenerate the area, but in real terms the people of Manchester will lose money.

Don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but have always thought that UEFA's financial fair play rules were too easy to manipulate.
It seems far too convenient that teams who have benefactors can funnel their money through a company closely linked or even part owned by the same owner to avoid the sanctions that are imposed.
Seeing as it's a governing body rules there is always going to be some sort of scam and corruption involved.
