Good advert, i'm undecided, I love him at the mo, but all the rumours has got me thinking, what if he's a lying little shit? Oh well, he's a United player and gets the benefit of the doubt :)

Great player but hate him.

He treated our great club as though it was inferior to Franco's Fascists. The devious Real Madrid scum aren't fit to clean United's boots.

Hate Ronaldo.

Love Scholes, Soskjaer, Keane, Cantona, Best, Edwards, Charlton, Law, Giggs, Gregg, Whiteside, Robson, McGrath, Foulkes, Styles, Crerand, Macari, Irwin, Bruce, Pallister, Meredith, Coppell, Hughes, Schmeichel.....

Don't know the man, I only know the shit I read, but then again I read that Kaka would consider moving to citeh ...and what a load of bollocks that was!
I tell who who I trust though and trust to do the right thing for our Club...the Manager, SAF, The Gaffer. If Ronaldo was such a bastard as everyone would have us believe then he would not be there. He would be shipped off to Real Madrid along with the other United rejects. The fact that he is still here tells me that Madrid have made most of the running in this on going saga and it is they I blame now for ruining my summer!!

I love to hate him.

He's a unloyal dick head, but a very good footballer.

Let your hate go lads, he's our player. He's had his share of the stick, now he's using every possible possibility to state that he'll stay. Viva Ronaldo!

Will love him if he proves his loyalty. Real are shit now, so he doesn't want to join them, so only time will show.

I've got to love him. He might not say all the right things at all the right times, but he's been nothing short of spectacular on the pitch and I can't see any other reason to judge him.

He's done nothing more than Tevez has recently. He never put down the club or fans and his only real fault this summer was not saying anything. Tevez has come out, in a fit of rage I can only assume, and said he would sign for pretty much anyone so long as his future is clear (I obviously cant be bothered by researching EXACTLY what he said). Everyone knows that Latin players 'dream' of playing for Los Blancos, why should Ronaldo be different?

I agree with Anon, as long as he wears our red, I love him. I'm personally more worried about Tevez jumping ship, what with Hienze in his ear telling him United are going to screw him over. Rooney's out for at least 3 weeks, and I really, really hope Tevez shines with Berba so that we have no choice but to pay whatever he wants.

Football fans are notoriously fickle.

He treated the club, his team-mates, the manager and the fans like shit but as soon as he starts to play well again all the 'Viva Ronaldo' shit starts up again. Well i for one, won't be fooled again. Great player, but a vain, self-serving, devious, diving, lying, disloyal prick. You just have to compare him to Scholesy or Ole to realise what a wanker he is. He's an embarrassment to the club.

I agree with what invertedquestionmark said above. He no longer wants to go to Real because they're a club in disarray and United are at the top of their game. Ask yourself this: if united went through a bad patch, which rat would be first to leave the sinking ship? I think we all know the answer to that!

Viva United.

Re

johnpanda Said,

"Football fans are notoriously fickle.

Do you think 'the club, his team-mates and the manager' are 'fickle' as well? Because they don't seem to have a problem with Ron.

I'm sure none of us know the true story of what had really happened in the summer, or what's going on at the moment. Any sort of conclusion based on what the press has told us could be wrong. But if I have to be wrong, I'd prefer my choice to be on the side of love, rather than hate - so instead of trusting the media I'll rather keep trusting and supporting our club, our manager and our best player for the good of United.

Viva Ronaldo! Viva United!

I hate to love him. If he goes this summer after his recent pledge to become part of United's history I will lose faith in almost all footballers.

"He treated the club, his team-mates, the manager and the fans like shit but as soon as he starts to play well again all the ‘Viva Ronaldo’ shit starts up again."

Absolutely.

@ ot070506: You mention 'the club, his team-mates and the manager’

The club and the manager are basically one and the same thing, I think it's fair to say and they both realise that we have the best player in the world on our books and that to sell him while we are in the strongest position we've ever been in would be a huge step backward. Of course they're going to do their level-best to keep him onside.

I've not heard/read anything from his team-mates that would suggest support, either tacitly or explicitly. We've had ex-Reds and current United staff (notably Eric and Ole) telling him to keep his counsel and stay with us, though. Also, let's be fair, the players closest to him (e.g. Rooney, Nani, Anderson) are living in the same professional footballer bubble he lives in and hold no allegiance to United either.

Are you really able to rely on them to be the impartial, objective commentators on this situation that you think they are?

On the love/hate thing; I'm pretty much indifferent to him, to be honest. It might sound daft, but we invested a lot of 'love' for him over the previous 2 seasons and while we thought it was a 2-way street, it became patently clear over the Summer that it was just us nourishing his massive ego. It says a lot that recently, when we were chanting White Pele as the pair were warming up at Derby, his head noticeably went down. As soon as he heard Viva Ronaldo from a small section of the support, he perked up, smiled and clapped us.

His recent comments are all well and good, but the Summer will be the true test. If Real finish the season well enough, bid and *still* get rejected by Ronaldo - explicitly - I'll be more than willing to think about singing his name again. Until then, he's just another extremely talented player in our stunning array of attacking talent.

he's going nowhere

ron loves SAF
Saf loves ron
Ron knows and realises now this is the right place for him and the grass isnt always greener or tuther side
Man utd dont wana sell
We have the paperwork
We ave the contract
SAf doesn not want him to leave
nor do Gill and the glazers
We are building a dynasty here
And Ron is the fulcrum of SAFS last masterplan

I hated him and still do a bit for whatever he did.....but slowly and surely i am open to be proven wrong to forgive a guys wrong ding and mistake. after all he aint half rcked OT like no other player

so at mo for me..it is Vi Ronaldo.....Not VIVA just yet....but in time if he keeps saying the things he is and things he does at present...then i'll starts singing and wearing his shirts again
