Erik ten Hag has ended his contract with Ajax six weeks early, after winning the title earlier this week, and according to reports is set to arrive in Manchester tomorrow to start work to prepare for next season.
Cristiano Ronaldo, speaking to the club’s official site, talked of the shared excited the players and fans feel to have a manager of his quality joining the club. However, Ronaldo was mindful of how big the job in hand is and that the new manager needs time to implement his vision.
What I know about him is he did a fantastic job for Ajax, that he’s an experienced coach. But we need to give him time. Things need to change the way he wants. I hope we have success, of course, because, if you have success, all of Manchester is going to have success as well. I wish him the best.
We are happy and excited, not only as players, but the supporters as well. I wish him the best and let’s believe that, next year, we are going to win trophies.
