Ruud van Nistelrooy has revealed today that he will be returning to Manchester for the first time since leaving the club in the summer of 2006.
After a break down in his relationship with the manager, our brilliant former striker has since admitted that the pair have worked on their differences and are on good terms again.
Van Nistelrooy has today revealed that he will be at Old Trafford on November 23rd for the unveiling of Sir Alex Ferguson’s statue at Old Trafford. He will stick around for the following day to watch United take on QPR.
Out of interest, eight years ago yesterday Van Nistelrooy scored the penalty against Arsenal to help bring an end to their 49 game unbeaten run.
Welcome back, Ruud.
