Erik Ten Hag has terminated his Ajax contract six weeks early and according to reports is set to arrive in Manchester on Monday. Mitchell van der Gaag has been confirmed to make the move with Ten Hag to Manchester United, while work is still ongoing to see Steven McClaren return.
Ahead of Ten Hag’s arrival, Jadon Sancho has spoken to Premier League Productions over his excitement for a fresh start under new management following a difficult first season at United. Sancho has shown flashes of what he is capable of but in a generally appalling campaign from United, no player has shone.
Sancho turned 22 in March so knows he has years ahead of him and is hoping that Ten Hag’s arrival will see the trophies return to Old Trafford.
To start again fresh, with a new manager coming in, we’re looking forward to seeing what his ideas and plans for the team are. You only have to think positively. My career is only getting started and, hopefully, it will take off soon.
This has been a difficult season, especially being a Manchester United player, with what the club has achieved over the years. United is known for winning trophies and being up there with the best. This season has been a difficult one for all of us, but I think we still have to show belief again.
