Paul Scholes has today claimed that he might play on longer than the current season he has a contract for, as long as he’s playing well.

Last season he scored the winning goal against Besiktas in the Champions League, as well as in the league against Wolves and Manchester City. He also scored in the League Cup semi-final against City, and against AC Milan in the San Siro.

“I do not know if it will be my last season,” said Scholes. “I will just take every game as it comes. If I am feeling okay and doing the job that the manager wants me to do then we will see how things are at the end of next season. Hopefully next season will be another good one for me.”
