Paul Scholes has refuted claims that Manchester United have an old squad.

To prove his point, Nani, 23, and Chris Smalling, 20, were our goalscorers in our last game against Chivas. Federico Macheda, 18, Tom Cleverley, 20, Darron Gibson 22, and Javier Hernandez, 22, were the scorers in the previous game against MLS All Stars, previously undefeated against British teams over 90 minutes.

“We have some very experienced players, but we are not an old squad,” said Scholes. “It really doesn’t matter what your age is if you are playing games. The hunger and the desire are still there. And all of the players have got that here.”
