It’s great to see Fraizer, who spent 12 years at United’s academy before joining Sunderland, has been given his first call up. “I think he’s an exciting young talent and I think he’ll thrive,” said Stuart Pearce, who has been put in charge of England until a full time appointment is made in the summer to replace Fabio Capello.

The one United player who should have been selected but hasn’t been is Michael Carrick, who has been consistently fantastic for United this season.
