Manchester United take on Old Trafford this evening knowing that a win will take us to third place in the league, one point above Chelsea and two points ahead of Leicester.

Following a week where the results kept going our way, United are in a position to leapfrog the teams we’ve been chasing all season. Before now, our results on the same day or following Chelsea dropping points have seen us fail to capitalise, losing three times and drawing twice.

United currently have the best form of any team in the league but Southampton have also been playing well and picking up good results. With Manchester City’s ban from the Champions League being overturned earlier today, United know they have to finish in the top four to play in Europe’s elite competition next season.

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, Matic, Pogba, Fernandes, Greenwood, Rashford, Martial.
Subs: Romero, Bailly, Williams, Pereira, Fred, James, McTomainay, Mata, Ighalo.
