After scoring two goals against Arsenal in Manchester United’s last Premier League game, Marcus Rashford was subbed off with 10 minutes left to play with an injury.

He wasn’t ready to make the bench in United’s opening Europa League game against Real Sociedad and Erik ten Hag has confirmed in today’s press conference that the forward won’t be available for Thursday night’s match against FC Sheriff.

He is not available. Still the consequence after Arsenal. He has a muscle injury. I don’t think too long but I cannot tell how long. I don’t want to say [how long]. It’s not really bad and we expect him back quite soon in the team.

Rashford has been out of the England team for the most recent squad but has started this season with three goals and two assists in six league games. With the World Cup taking place this summer, Ten Hag expects Rashford to be on the plane to Qatar.

It’s quite obvious, quite clear. Yes, he played really good seasons and I think in this season he had great comeback and he showed his great potential and quality.
