“I’m trying to motivate myself, because the World Cup was my goal. For the first time in my life, I’m having problems to find something that motivates me.”
Whilst other Premiership players are chomping at the bit, Carlos Tevez can’t be arsed just a fortnight for the season kicks off.
“I’m going to ask Manchester City to let me stay at Santos. This club has only brought me joy so far. I won two Brazilian championships here before and now we’ve won the Copa do Brasil. I have to talk to Manchester City about what will happen with me in the future. I have a contract with them and that has to be respected. My heart is with Santos.”
Robinho hopes City won’t make him come back and play for them.
“I wanted to wear the City shirt and have a better season compared to last year. But I know there will not be many chances for me and so I am considering the many offers I have received. I will be sorry to leave the Premier League, but in Europe there are other top leagues. Juventus are a great club in which I would like to play for. Until some time ago I would not have accepted a transfer to other clubs. The economic aspect is important but if it was one of the biggest clubs in the world I would consider other aspects.”
Emmanuel Adebayor is looking to get out of there just a year after admitting he signed for the money.
